In our new series, we would like to introduce you to all of our Tinkerbots motion modules. Learn how they work and what you can do with the modules. This time we give you all the information about the Pivot.
The robotic building sets from Tinkerbots include different motion modules for every purpose. One module that can even be found in our Wheeler Set for beginners, is the Pivot. It is one of the most interesting modules because of its versatility. With the Pivot, a part of the robot can be moved up, down, to the left and right.
The Pivot can be used for several Tinkerbots models. For example, to control a robotic car. The Roadster and the Racer use the Pivot as an axis to turn right or left. The best way to control a car with a Pivot is to use the Tinkerbots app on your smartphone or tablet. But there are much more models that need a Pivot in order to move. For example, the Top Dog uses the Pivot module as some kind of hip. With some creativity there are also a lot of other possibilities to use the Pivot. The possible combinations are countless if you use the adapter for LEGO®. And now it's your turn: Be creative and be innovative. Tinkerbots gives you endless possibilities to create the robot you would love to have.
The Pivot can be found in all Tinkerbots building sets. Our Sensoric Mega Set even contains two Pivot modules to build a Grabber Base. In this case, the two Pivots make the robotic arm even more flexible. Now you know all the important functions of the Tinkerbots Pivot. Use your knowledge to be creative and build a robot after your own imagination!
